On October 13, 2025, Kim Mckay, Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Australian Museum, visited the Natural History Museum of China (NHMC). Wan Shilin, Party Secretary and Executive Deputy Director, along with Deputy Directors Liu Linde and Zhang Yuguang, held discussions about future cooperations with Kim Mckay.

During the meeting, both sides reviewed the achievements of past cooperation in exhibitions and public science education, and expressed their willingness to further expand and deepen collaboration in the future, particularly in areas such as collection exchanges, scientific research exchanges, and joint projects. Both parties hope to take the construction of the NHMC’s new venue and the Australian Museum’s 200th anniversary as opportunities to continuously broaden cooperation and deepen exchanges.
