The nursery room established by Beijing Museum of Natural History and Council of Women Workers of the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions will be officially opened to the public on 1 June, International Children’s Day.

Along with the full implementation of “one couple, two children” policy put forward in the Fifth Plenary Session of 18th CPC Central Committee and considering that Beijing Museum of Natural History is among children’s favorite natural science public facilities, the Party’s general branch of BMNH has decided to further strengthen the planning under this circumstance. With the support from Council of Women Workers under the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions, the nursery room is hence established in BMNH. The nursery room not only caters to the needs of the public but also targets at the female colleagues in BMNH. The size of the nursery room is of 10 square meters, a clean and comfy place equipped with a three-seat sofa, baby diapers station and two small cabinets. There is also electricity supply, breast milk storage bags and tissues, which are especially prepared for the mothers at work.

The establishment of the nursery room reflects the service objectives of BMNH, which are “to work for the visitors”, “to bring convenience to the visitors” and “to benefit the visitors”. At the same time, the establishment holistically reflects the care for the female workers from the Council of Women Workers under the Beijing Municipal Federation of Trade Unions.
